Have questions about creating a custom crest and swag collection for your guild, clan, kin, esports team, or gaming community? Here are answers to the questions we receive most often.


What is Guild Mark Studio?

Guild Mark Studio creates original logos, crests, and coordinated merchandise collections for gaming communities. We help transform your group’s name, personality, history, and gaming style into a distinctive visual identity your members can proudly represent.


Who Owns the Artwork?

Guild Mark Studio maintains ownership of all artwork and it is copyrighted. Your guild receives ongoing permission to use its approved mark as its community identity across Discord, websites, social media, and other approved noncommercial community uses.

Whether your group is large, small, competitive, casual, or roleplay-focused, we can create a design that represents its unique identity.


Is the Guild Mark Studio design service really free?

Yes. There is currently no upfront charge for our standard guild design and merchandise setup service. The only requirement we ask is that you have a minimum of 10 members to your group.


If you request any social media graphics, such as a discord banner, the fee is $35.00.


Our free service includes sending you the Guild Heraldry Design Questionnaire, creating multiple initial design concepts, making minor revisions (one set of revisions) to your selected design, creating a coordinated collection of up to 20 merchandise items, and setting up a direct Etsy link for your group.


Is the merchandise free?

No. Our design and storefront setup service is free, but members pay for any merchandise they choose to purchase.


Each product’s price, available options, shipping charges, and applicable taxes will be displayed in the Etsy listing before checkout.


How does the process work?

First, complete the contact form on our website. We will email you our Guild Heraldry Design Questionnaire so you can tell us about your community. If you do not know an answer to any of the fields on the questionnaire, just leave it blank. The answers you do know, please be as accurate as possible, as that provides our designers the best insight to making a perfect graphic for you and your guild.


We will then create multiple design drafts for your group to review. After you select your preferred concept, you will be asked a second time for a final approval – just to make sure we do not create merchandise with the wrong approved design.


Once the design is approved, we will use it to create a coordinated collection of up to 20 merchandise items. You will receive a direct Etsy link that can be shared with your members through Discord, social media, email, your website, or any other communication platform.


What information will you need from us?

What design styles can you create?

We can create designs inspired by many gaming styles, including medieval, fantasy, magical, mythical, Viking, Celtic, futuristic, military, gothic, heroic, humorous, elegant, minimalist, or esports-inspired themes.


Your final design will be based on your community’s identity rather than a generic premade template.


How many design drafts will we receive?

We will create and send multiple design concepts for your group to review and choose from.


Many groups share the drafts with their members and hold a vote to select the favorite design.


Can we request revisions?

Yes. Once you select your preferred design concept, one set of minor revisions may be requested before final approval.


Minor revisions may include reasonable adjustments to colors, text, positioning, or small design details. Completely changing the selected concept or requesting an entirely new design direction is not considered a minor revision. Note: although we do like to include details, we have to be careful as we want the graphic to print nicely on multiple objects such as a glass, t-shirt, even a deck of cards.


Can our members vote on the designs?

Absolutely. We encourage leaders to share the design options with their members and let the group vote.

A guild crest represents the entire community, so allowing members to participate can help build excitement and strengthen the group’s connection to the final design.


What types of merchandise can be included?

Your swag collection may include a selection of items such as:


Product availability may vary depending on the design, printing requirements, and available product options. All Guild Mark Studio merchandise is selected for its quality and should be handled with appropriate care.


We place a special care disclosure on our popular 20-ounce travel tumblers. These beautiful tumblers are hand-wash only and should not be placed in the dishwasher. While some customers have washed them in a dishwasher without experiencing a problem, others have reported slight fraying along the upper edge of the printed wrap.


To preserve the appearance and longevity of your tumbler, please wash it gently by hand and avoid prolonged soaking.


How many merchandise items will you create?

We will transform your approved guild design into a coordinated collection featuring up to 20 professionally designed merchandise items.


From time to time, we may introduce new merchandise options and send them to your guild coordinator for consideration. Your coordinator can then decide whether those items should be added to your collection.


You may also request a particular product if you see it offered in another guild’s collection but do not currently see it in yours. Product availability and design compatibility may vary.


Do guild leaders need to purchase inventory?

No. Guild leaders do not need to purchase, store, package, or distribute merchandise.


Members can use the direct Etsy link to view the collection and order the items they want individually.


Can leaders purchase items for prizes or giveaways?

Yes. Guild leaders may purchase merchandise for officer gifts, contests, recruitment incentives, anniversary keepsakes, tournament prizes, special events, or member giveaways.


How will our members find the collection?

We will provide you with a direct Etsy link to your guild’s custom swag collection.


You can share the link through Discord, your website, social media, email, in-game communications, or any other platform you use to communicate with your members.


Members can also visit our Guild Mark Studio storefront on Etsy and search to find their guild’s name. Click the guild name to view its complete swag collection.


Can you add another size or color?

Please contact us when you need an additional size or color that is not currently shown in your collection.

Availability will depend on the product, manufacturer, printing method, and design requirements.


Can members order from outside the United States?

International availability depends on the individual product, destination, and shipping options displayed on Etsy.


Customers should enter their delivery location on Etsy to confirm whether a particular item can be shipped to their country.


International customers may also be responsible for applicable customs duties, import taxes, tariffs, or carrier fees.


How long does the process take?

The timeline depends on the complexity of the design, the information provided, the number of active projects, and how quickly your group reviews the drafts. Typical time frame from start to finish is about 10 days.


Responding promptly and providing clear, detailed answers on the Guild Heraldry Design Questionnaire will help keep the project moving efficiently.


Can you use an existing game logo, character, or copyrighted image?

No. Guild Mark Studio does not include trademarks, copyrighted materials, official game logos, protected characters, or other infringing elements in its original designs.


We can create an original design inspired by your group’s personality, lore, colors, and general gaming style without copying protected artwork.


On each graphic we include the name of the guild and the game name – see example below


Can we send examples for inspiration?

Yes. You may send examples to help us understand the style, colors, composition, or overall feeling you prefer.


Examples are used for creative direction only. We will not copy another artist’s work, an existing company logo, official game artwork, or another gaming community’s design.


What happens if there is a problem with an order?

Order concerns involving payment, delivery, damage, printing, or an incorrect item should be reported promptly through the Etsy order page.


Please review the return, replacement, and exchange information displayed on the applicable Etsy listing, as policies may vary by product and personalized items may have different restrictions.


Can our group be featured on Guild Mark Studio’s social media?

Yes! Send us a photograph of your members wearing or displaying their Guild Mark Studio swag.


With your permission, we may feature your group and give your community a shout-out through our social media platforms.
